Memo to the
Blackstone Reunion 2007
First I want to say
that Aunt Alice had a wonderful birthday party. Jimbo and Betty
know how to throw a great party! Every thing looked great and
tasted delicious.
Aunt Alice was
wearing her favorite color red and looked absolutely exquisite.
She glowed with beauty as she was wearing a bright red crochet
scarf that Aunt Edna Gay made her. Don't know what it was about
her that day but her hair was glistening and her smile was quite
special...as seen on the video. :>) As always when you go to
Jimbo and Betty's you experience warmth and hospitality. You
leave with a feeling that families are so so precious and you
know that we have a great one!
Following Aunt
Alice's birthday party the committee held a meeting. The date
for the reunion was voted and changed to July 14, 2007 at the
Silver Wings, in Brenham, Texas.
Donna resigned as our
Treasurer. She and Candice had been our Treasurer for the past
20 years and both of them had done an unquestionable great job
for us. They always worked at getting us what we needed, when
we needed it, as well as looked after keeping our expenses to a
minimal. We greatly appreciate the time they took to do us such
a great job. Debi and her son, Benjamin will be our new
Treasurers and Edna Gay will resume her role as co-Treasurer.
This year at the
Blackstone Reunion 2007 Greg and I will set up a studio for
professional pictures for all. All pictures will belong to the
Reunion and be used strictly for the website and generating
income for the reunion. We will also take video of the reunion.
After the reunion 2007 we hope to be set up so that you will be
able to purchase DVD's from the website through paypal (visa)
that will be totally controlled by the Blackstone Reunion
account. We plan to have the following on DVD for purchase at
the 2007 reunion:

Blackstone Reunion DVD- 1 hour (we have a copy of this one but

are family have any vhs video tapes and would like to have them

Remember that the
shelf life of those video vhs are 20 years under pristine
conditions. Get them on DVD and they are good for 100 years.
I know everyone is
enjoying the website because it is awesome!!! Thanks Glenda and
Arnold for all of your hard work. It takes a lot of work to keep
a family as large as ours together and we seem to pull it off.
Thanks to everyone for doing all the little things that make a
difference to the whole picture.
